Do your best
What is your current position and what do you enjoy most about it?
I am a recruitment and communications specialist in Mexico. What I enjoy most is the people. Our job is to make new employ- ees feel comfortable, welcomed, and supported.
What are the top issues facing you today?
Finding and recruiting the best possible employees for the company is always a challenge.
To succeed in this, it helps to analyze and understand the organizational structure in order to define the appropriate position.
What experiences prepared you for your current job?
I started my career at the bank by hiring within operations as well as helping with administrative issues. That involvement prepared me to recruit for all levels at the bank, and I thank HR Director Oscar Lizárraga for believing in me.
Do you have any words of advice or encouragement for your colleagues? “Give the best in all that you do.” If you don’t agree with something, do your best to explain your position but be mindful to listen to others’ opinions, you’re bound to find some common ground.
What is your life/work philosophy or style?
Remain positive in any situation and take advantage of the opportunities presented to you.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Mexico City where I have fond memories of playing with friends and my older sister.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a veterinarian.
How do you balance your career and family life?
I try to spend quality time with my family and friends. And when we are together, I focus only on that moment in time.
What is your favorite place in the world?
Disneyland. I have the best memories from growing up and visiting that magical world and the imagination that it nurtures. My family and I visit each year. It makes me happy to be with them there.
How to you unwind or reenergize after work?
I enjoy spending time with my favorite animal — my Chihuahua. I also find exercise to be a great way to reenergize and refocus.
What do you have on your iPod/Kindle?
I have a lot of music, mostly pop, but I like all kinds of music. I also have a number of games I like to play to relax.
What hidden (or not so hidden) skill or talent do you have?
Listening to people and helping them find a solution to their problems.
What are three words that describe you?
Happy, persistent, friendly.
