For a better world

November 2015 is our third annual Global Volunteer Month
We fulfill our responsibility as corporate citizens every day by supporting the financial strength and stability of our customers and the economic growth of our local, regional, and global economies.
Americas employees also have a big appetite for helping our neighbors hands-on. This November, we will once again join colleagues around the world in Global Volunteer Month. Under the tagline MUFG Gives Back, we’ll under- take a wide variety of volunteer activities that put into action our commitment to social sustainability, which is a hallmark of the bank’s corporate responsibility, as described in the MUFG Principles of Ethics and Conduct, and an important component of our aspiration to “Be the world’s most trusted financial group.”
Last year, MUFG Gives Back was the largest CSR activity among Japanese companies anywhere in the world. More than 5,000 employees participated in events across 30 countries. In the Ameri- cas, more than 2,400 colleagues in 44 offices in eight countries donated 6,400 hours of service in the communities where we do business.
This year, local CSR liaisons will again coordinate team activities throughout the month. Planned activities include finan- cial literacy education, park and beach clean-ups, an interviewing workshop for youth, Salvation Army holiday gift drives, home-building, and much more.

As colleagues in a major global bank, we operate with a mission that de- scribes our responsibility, in part, as “fostering shared and sustainable growth for a better world.”
